The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, situated on the River Tyne in Gateshead, England, is seeking a Piano Tutor for its Centre for Advanced Training (CAT). This part-time, permanent position involves teaching piano to young people aged 10–18, with a focus on both individual and potential ensemble instruction. The role requires a professional standard of piano playing, experience in teaching diverse musical styles, and a commitment to inclusive music practices.

Applicants must demonstrate proven experience in teaching piano at an advanced level, performance, and the ability to inspire and adapt to students of various ages and learning styles. Knowledge of a range of teaching methods, safeguarding in education, and an inclusive approach to working with young people are essential. The role offers a teaching salary of £29.58 per hour, including preparation time, for 5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality music education and will contribute to the development of curriculum documents and learning resources.
