The Juilliard School is seeking a Projects Administrator, Curriculum.

This position oversees and produces special projects, performances and activities focused primarily on the Vocal Arts curricular offerings. This position oversees the Vocal Arts Showcase Series, manages curricular and external auditions, departmental orientation activities, and works closely with the Director, Curriculum and Schedules to manage department-wide release requests. This position also works closely with the Associate Director to manage new initiatives and ongoing programs, and manages the Artistic Director’s schedule and assists them as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Produce performances, events and activities for the department, focusing primarily on curricular activities, internal master classes, residencies, and collaborations with other departments
• Manage the Vocal Arts Showcase Series of opera scenes programs
• Oversee and produce department-wide auditions including annual casting, ADOS curricular, internal and external auditions
• Facilitate department-wide release requests of faculty, guest artists and students, working closely with the Director, Curriculum and Schedules
• Manage orientation for students and faculty, including annual new student orientation activities
• Assist Artistic Director, including managing their calendar, assisting with correspondence, score acquisition, and other responsibilities as needed
• Facilitate projects with other departments and collaborators including Historical Performance, Conducting, Career Services, Lab Orchestra, Music Technology and Chamber Music departments, as needed
• Facilitate miscellaneous projects and initiatives in areas including but not limited to extra-curricular activities, opera productions, and other special events as appropriate

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of professional experience in arts administration or higher education
• Professional experience producing high-level events or performances for an arts organization or higher education institution
• Ability to interact and communicate well with people of various backgrounds, adapting with ease and authority
• Strong decision making and leadership skills, and the ability to assess, prioritize, and find creative solutions when problem-solving
• Must exercise excellent judgment and integrity under stressful circumstances
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in very busy environment
• Ability to work well independently to meet multiple deadlines
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
• Must be available on evenings and weekends when in production
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
• Solid working knowledge of classical music especially vocal repertoire and opera
• Ability to read music and piano/vocal scores
