Leeds Lieder is inviting applications for its prestigious 2024 Young Artists Programme, part of the 20th Anniversary Festival of Leeds Lieder. The festival is scheduled from 14 to 21 April 2024.

The programme invites ten duo partners, aged 30 or under, to engage in an enriching experience of recitals, masterclasses, talks, and events. Participants will receive personal coaching from renowned artists such as Sir Thomas Allen, Dame Felicity Lott, Graham Johnson, and others. The programme includes a live-streamed Showcase recital, participation in the Composers & Poets Forum, and a performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria.

Applicants are required to submit a recording of three contrasting songs in different languages. Submissions are accepted electronically, preferably via YouTube, with the online application form to be completed by 24 January 2024. Successful candidates will be notified by 31 January and must be available throughout the Festival period.

The programme offers free access to all Festival events, with mandatory attendance. Accommodation is provided, but travel expenses are self-funded. A participation fee of £400 is required by 23 February 2024.
