MCD.ie presents ‘The Live Last Waltz,’ a live re-enactment of the music from Martin Scorsese’s documentary ‘The Last Waltz,’ scheduled to be held at the 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin, on Friday, January 12, 2024. Doors for the event will open at 7:00 PM.

This performance aims to recreate the essence and music of the original concert depicted in Scorsese’s award-winning documentary. The show will feature a ten-piece band accompanied by a full brass section, bringing to life the classic sounds that have captivated fans of ‘The Band.’ The event also includes a lineup of special guests, adding a dynamic element to the performance.

Dublin’s rock’n’roll troupe, The Group, are at the helm of this tribute to ‘The Last Waltz,’ which has historically been a celebration of music and a notable cinematic achievement. This rendition by The Group is designed to resonate with both longstanding fans of ‘The Band’ and new audiences alike, offering an immersive experience into the world of rock and country music.

The night promises to be a highlight for admirers of music legends like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, and Eric Clapton, as well as for those who appreciate the genre of rock and country music. Tickets for ‘The Live Last Waltz’ are priced from €25.50, which includes a booking fee and a €1.50 restoration levy. They are currently available for purchase through Ticketmaster Ireland.
