To celebrate RIAM's 175th year, its flagship ensemble the RIAM Philharmonia is raising the bar with music industry partnerships, European premieres and the most challenging repertoire yet. With most concerts taking place in the new Whyte Recital Hall (the orchestra's permanent home), there is a lot to celebrate in this landmark year.

Beethoven Symphony No.6 "Pastoral"

British/German conductor, Matthew Lynch, will make his Irish debut with RIAM Philharmonia in February 2024. Matthew works closely with living composers, including Max Richter, Devonté Hynes and champions other living composers, including Errollyn Wallen through his work as principal flute with Chineke! Orchestra and as a conductor.
2022/23 saw Matthew make debuts with the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. This season he will be returning to London’s Southbank Centre to perform Beethoven’s Eroica with the Chineke! Orchestra and making debuts with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the London Mozart Players as well as travelling to Dublin to work with RIAM Philharmonia to work with the next generation of orchestral players.
