The Arts Council of Ireland invites groups and organisations to apply for funding to establish a new independent dance company under the New Dance Company Phase 2 initiative.

The initiative aims to create a flagship dance company committed to commissioning dance productions, employing dancers, and facilitating national and international touring. This call is part of the Arts Council’s Dance Policy: Advancing Dance 2022-2025 and seeks to contribute to the development of dance professionals and artform in Ireland, while also working to diversify audiences.

Collaborative applications are permitted. To be eligible, applicants must have previously applied to 2023 New Dance Company Phase 1 and have been directed to submit a Phase 2 application. The closing date for applications is 17:30, Thursday, 19 October 2023, with a maximum award of €2,500,000.
