Rónán Ó Snodaigh and Myles O’Reilly – who released their second album, ‘The Beautiful Road’, this summer – perform at The Pav in Cork as part of the Sounds from a Safe Harbour Festival on Saturday, 9th September 2023.

The duo gained attention with their debut album ‘Ta Go Maith’, released in May 2020. Since that time, they have been actively performing both domestically and internationally. The new album, ‘The Beautiful Road’, incorporates elements of folk, traditional, and ambient music.

The album was crafted in two distinct locations: a log cabin in Roscommon and a farmhouse in West Cork. The recording process was influenced by various natural sounds, such as bird song, wind, and rain. The intent was to focus on higher frequencies and introduce calming auditory elements like bells and brush-stroked rhythms into their music.
