UPROAR: Son of Chamber Symphony
UPROAR returns with its latest project for 17 musicians including three new commissions from leading Welsh composers responding to contemporary life in Wales. Olga Neuwirth’s dynamic new soundtrack complements Viking Eggeling’s playful abstract film Symphonie Diagonale (1924), as well as a new piece by Lynne Plowman, and the programme ends with ‘Son of Chamber Symphony’ by John Adams, the world’s most popular living composer. The last movement was described in the Los Angeles Times as “...one of those Adams bucking-bronco blastoffs, riveting and full of surprises."
