Youth Arts Explorer Grant

Youth Arts Explorer Grant

Friday, 29 March 2024, 12.00pm

The National Youth Council of Ireland, in collaboration with the Arts Council and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, is offering the Artist and Youth Work Residency Grant Scheme. This scheme seeks to foster innovative collaborations between youth groups, artists, and arts organisations. It supports residencies that might include artists in youth work settings or youth groups in arts settings, aiming to integrate arts into youth work.

The Youth Arts Explorer Grant (€1,500) is for organisations looking to introduce youth arts into their settings and the Artist and Youth Work Full Residency Grant for more established projects. The Youth Arts Explorer Grant supports initial explorations into arts practice within youth services, encouraging activities like idea testing, introductory sessions, and facilitating connections with local arts centres for potential performances or workshops.

Applications for this grant are submitted online and must be completed by Friday, March 29th at 12pm. Additionally, the council will host online FAQ sessions on Tuesday, March 5th from 12pm to 1pm and Wednesday, March 6th from 3pm to 4pm to address any inquiries about the scheme.
