Composer Ian Wilson's new long-form duo for bass clarinet and double bass, "Orpheus Down" will receive its premiere concert performances in Ireland between April 10th and 14th in Ireland.
Bass clarinettist Gareth Davis and double bassist Dario Calderone will perform the 45-minute, 10-movement work at DCU Lunchtime Concert series (St Patrick's Campus, Room SPD.B118) on Wednesday 10th @1.10pm; at MTU Cork School of Music (Curtis Auditorium), on Friday 12th @1.10pm; and at the Sundays at Noon series, Hugh Lane Gallery Dublin, on Sunday 14th@ 12pm.

Farpoint Recordings are launching a CD of a studio recording of the same work, performed by the same musicians, to coincide with the performances.
