Rare Birds: Hour of Song, The Bug Club’s second full-length album, encapsulates a year of creative output, including a live album and an EP. This double LP spans an hour and four minutes, featuring a diverse track list that showcases the band’s evolving musical journey. The album, their eighth release since partnering with Bingo Records in the summer of 2020, represents a culmination of relentless touring and creative exploration, distinct from typical road records. It includes 47 songs, with 23 spoken-word tracks interwoven with music, narrating a surreal story alongside their garage rock sound. Accompanying the album is a fully illustrated, 32-page book, enhancing the listening experience with visual art.
