GUIDES by Séamus Nolan Presents: WILLZEE

To coincide with Traveller Pride week 2022, from July 18th – 22nd the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar is proud to present Limerick Traveller musician and writer William Casey aka Willzee.

Come and meet one of Ireland's finest artists', Willzee the Limerick rapper who writes and makes music about the problems faced by young people from the Travelling community and how through music and spoken word communities can heal.

Willzee’s debut album Kut’i Gris was released in April and described by Hotpress magazine as ‘a gritty, world aware recollection of a fascinating life’. In Traveller Gammon, Kut’i Gris translates to ‘a piece of heart’, a reference to how each track represents a piece of heart, lost or found.

FREE but advanced booking recommended.

GUIDES visual arts exhibition and events programme is curated by Séamus Nolan, Curator-in-residence at The Linenhall Arts Centre. Devised in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Arts Council Collection. GUIDES is proudly supported by Arts Council of Ireland.
