The Waterboys are set to perform at the inaugural Galway Summer Sessions at Galway Airport on the 19th of August, 2024. Tickets for the event will be available from 9 am this Friday 10 November, with prices set at €59.90, inclusive of all charges, purchasable through www.ticketmaster.ie.

The Galway Summer Sessions, marking its debut in August 2024, will consist of a series of 10 concerts held in a marquee setting with a maximum capacity of 4,999 spectators per event. The concert series aims to bring a diverse range of musical talent to Galway.

Since the mid-1980s, The Waterboys have been synonymous with Scottish artist Mike Scott, who has spearheaded the group through various incarnations and musical explorations. The ensemble is recognised for a repertoire that includes tracks such as "The Whole Of The Moon," "How Long Will I Love You," "This Is The Sea," and "Fisherman's Blues." The latest lineup of The Waterboys showcases the musical prowess of Brother Paul and James Hallawell on keyboards, supported by an Irish rhythm section comprising Aongus Ralston on bass and Eamon Ferris on drums. Their set is expected to span the band's extensive catalogue, encompassing early works to recent compositions.
