We are now SOLD OUT for James Vincent McMorrow with special guest Sorcha Richardson. As expected demand was phenomenal for this exciting first live concert since the start of the pandemic. We understand that people are disappointed but delighted to see so much interest and love for the return to live music. We hope we will see you all again at more events over the coming months!

NCH is delighted to present this one-off concert - the first live concert in a series of pilot events to bring live music and culture back to Irish audiences.

James Vincent McMorrow is a platinum selling singer-songwriter from Dublin. Having signed to Columbia Records, 2020 has seen him release the singles ‘Headlights’, ‘I Should Go’ with Kenny Beats and ‘Gone’. His forthcoming album ‘Grapefruit Season’ will be released on 16 July 2021.

James’ latest single ‘Paradise’ previews ‘Grapefruit Season’ his upcoming, fifth studio album - and one in which the artist, producer and songwriter pushes himself (and his sound) in all new ways. The record was recorded between London, Los Angeles and Dublin, largely before the pandemic struck. It embraces the timeless yet timely fact that life is chaos; the idea of growing up, but as ‘Paradise suggests’, still feeling none the wiser. Each song is held together by McMorrow’s instantly-identifiable voice, an untethered musical imagination, and (from dancehall to soul, country to R&B) purposefully little else in its pursuit of fear-free pop music.

Having quietly cultivated a cult fanbase over several years, Sorcha Richardson released the Choice Prize nominated album First Prize Bravery and more recently the single, ‘The Starlight Lounge’. Sorcha’s work of crafts evocative vignettes that mark moments in time, finding the poetry in introspection and exuding both passion and tender beauty in equal measure.

Richardson left home for Brooklyn as a teenager to study creative writing, launching her early musical releases from the states - including early fan favourite ‘Ruin Your Night’ - but it was upon moving back to her native Dublin that she was inspired to take stock of where she was at, eventually delivering the defining work of her short career thus far, the lauded First Prize Bravery. Coupled with her first bout of proper touring in support of her debut, Sorcha’s narrative song-writing has continued to connect with people far away from her Dublin home, giving songs to those who have shared similar tangled emotions, providing a tonic with her music.

We are very excited to welcome you back to live music. In order to keep artists, staff, crew and audiences safe, we ask that you adhere to current public health advice as well as familiarising yourself with the NCH guidelines for ticketholders outlined here.
