Celebrate the Harp: Ireland’s iconic symbol

Live schedule on https://www.youtube.com/c/HarpIreland and on Facebook.com/cruiteireann

Lá na Cruite, Harp Day 2020 will take place on Saturday 17th October. It is an all-Ireland event to promote Ireland’s national instrument through concerts, lectures, popup events, and harp makers’ workshops. This year Harp Day is going world-wide virtually on Facebook at www.facebook.com/cruiteireann and on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/HarpIreland.

As well as our extensive programme of events taking place in Ireland and Northern Ireland, we have events happening in Australia, Scotland, America, England, Italy and France. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have moved to our online social platforms for public engagement. Nevertheless, we have some physical events planned with overseas partners.

Our theme will focus on harper Turlough Carolan as we celebrate the 350th anniversary of his birth.
