Larivain-Péron & Co Music from Brittany and Ireland

Larivain-Péron & Co Music from Brittany and Ireland

Tuesday, 23 April 2024, 8.00pm

To the sound of fiddle and flutes, as well as to the sound of the Bombarde, and the Biniou kozh, Gwenola and Youenn, experienced musicians on the stages of Brittany and elsewhere for more than 25 years, take you on a musical journey to discover the music from the various regions of Brittany. They play dance music such as Gavottes des montagnes, Andro, Plinn, Marches and also airs and melodies.

These musical expressions are still well rooted in moments of life in Brittany at the start of the 21st century.
Beyond Breton music, our two musicians are also very linked to Ireland by strong family and friendly ties which led them to play Irish tunes from West Cork and Kerry and as far as Antrim.

Another mighty night ahead!
