Carducci Quartet @ Kilkenny Arts Festival 2023
The Carducci String Quartet is set to perform a series of concerts as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival’s Lunchtime Music Series. This live indoor performance will take place at St John’s Priory on 14 August 2023 at 1pm and will last for approximately 50 minutes.
Programme II of the series is titled ‘It’s Always Darkest Before the Dawn’, and will include pieces by Felix Mendelssohn and Joseph Haydn.
The pieces scheduled for this performance are Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 6 in F minor, op. 80 and Haydn’s String Quartet in B-flat major, op. 76, no. 4, commonly known as ‘Sunrise’. The programme forms part of the quartet’s showcase of a diverse repertoire, which also features works by composers such as Beethoven, Philip Glass, Caroline Shaw, and Astor Piazzolla.
Tickets are available at €20 and €18, with an approximate duration of 50 minutes for the performance.
