Japanese vocalist and guitarist Ichiko Aoba will perform at Kilkenny Arts Festival in collaboration with the Crash Ensemble, on 17th August at the Set Theatre.

Ichiko Aoba’s music ranges across various genres, including folk, indie, classical, jazz, and pop. Since her debut in 2010, she has released several albums, composed music for video games, theatre productions, and installation art, and collaborated with artists such as Cornelius, Mac DeMarco, and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Her seventh studio album, “Windswept Adan,” released last year, gained international recognition. The upcoming gig at the Set Theatre will feature Aoba and a quintet of Crash Ensemble musicians performing new arrangements of her songs.
