Members of the DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble perform a series of lunchtime concerts in Rathmines Library on Mondays in November. Admission is free, but booking is essential. Enjoy some of Ireland’s finest young musical talent studying on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. This talent is nurtured and developed in an innovative and challenging way, resulting in musical performances and recordings that are at the forefront of the musical tradition today. Recent highlights include performances on RTÉ Radio 1’s Céilí House, the Opening Concert of the prestigious Temple Bar TradFest!, collaborative performances with the China Conservatory of Music, the Korean Embassy of Ireland and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, a live radio and online broadcast for National Music Day with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and tours of Louvain (Belgium), Rome and Savannah, Georgia, USA. Directors: Odhrán Ó Casaide, Kieran Hanrahan and Tom Doorley.
