The Proms 2023 series will feature Finnish violinist and conductor Pekka Kuusisto at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, 16th July 2023.

Kuusisto will lead one of Europe's renowned chamber orchestras, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, in a programme partly inspired by the natural world. Swedish composer Andrea Tarrodi's 'Birds of Paradise' and Ludwig van Beethoven's 'Symphony No. 1 in C major' form the first half. Following the interval, Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons' will be performed, interspersed with folk music improvisations by Kuusisto and citternist Ale Carr.
