LR PROJECT, led by the two experienced and versatile musicians from Brazil: Luana Matos (Vocal) and Robson Rocha (Guitar), will deliver a beautiful musical experience full of the authentic Bossa Nova swing. The repertoire is also filled with Brazilian Popular Music (known as MPB) where you can hear a variety of Brazilian rhythms.

Luana Matos A native of São Paulo, Luana has been singing from an early age, starting out at her local community church, and fronting various groups as a teenager. Initially working as a television producer in one of Brazil’s top T.V. stations, Sistema Brasileiro de Televisao, in 2010 Luana decided to leave her television career in order to pursue her love and passion for singing Brazilian Bossa Nova.Since her arrival in Dublin, in 2012, she has been one of Dublin’s greatest exponents of authentic Brazilian music, playing a host of traditional Sambas and Bossa Novas in intimate settings.

Robson RochaRobson Rocha started his career in the Music industry in 1989 Santos, Brazil, and in 2006 he moved to Dublin, Ireland to further his studies in Music where he still lives today. While in Europe, Robson took part in several projects involving Brazilian and Latin music. He also was sideman to one of the greatest Irish icons from the 80's, Gavin Friday, with whom he has performed in Belgium, Holland and Ireland at the most important music events and festivals. In May 2012 Robson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance from Newpark Music Centre. He dedicates part of his time teaching students of all ages, and sharing his knowledge and passion for different music genres such as Brazilian, Latin, Jazz, Rock and Blues.

Together they will take you to a journey of enthralling music and entertainment in a unique acoustic style. You will fall in love with Luana’s sweet voice and the seductive guitar solos of Rocha’s arrangements.

Please note, this event takes places in The Strand Café at Riverbank Arts Centre. A complimentary glass of wine/beverage is in included in the ticket price.

Event Tickets: €10 per event | €15 per day | €40 for full weekend. Discount automatically applied. Workshops not included.
