What They Might Be

What They Might Be

Tuesday, 22 March 2022, 8.30pm

A collection of original songs based entirely on a series of interviews and songwriting sessions with young people who have been removed from mainstream education.

Their words, opinions and ideas have been intertwined with developmental neuroscience, social science research, and experiences from educators, confronting us with uncomfortable truths and challenging us to make changes.

Exploring the dynamics of relationships, the importance of listening, and the unexpected teaching power of chickens, the show reflects on the societal benefits arising from the smallest acts of connection.

The music will be performed by Cat Barter, Clare Galway & Fionnuala Fagan-Thiébot

Cat Barter was chosen by IMAGINE: FESTIVAL OF POLITICS AND IDEAS to receive a special festival bursary to create this piece of “art as a vehicle for change”.

Funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland
