The Irish Cultural Centre (ICC) in West London is set to host a special St. Patrick’s Day event in collaboration with Limerick’s underground music festival Féile Na Gréine. The event, titled “Glór Nua x Féile Na Gréine: St. Patrick’s Takeover,” will take place on Thursday, 14 March 2024, starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the evening are priced between £5 and £15.

Féile Na Gréine, established in 2018, is known for its dedication to highlighting the music communities within Limerick City. The festival is run by a collective of musicians, designers, photographers, and other creative professionals, with a focus on Ireland’s emerging and experimental musical talent. The organisation is committed to promoting DIY culture, grassroots connections, and inclusivity in the arts, having expanded its creative output to include filmmaking and publications.

For this special St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Féile Na Gréine is partnering with the ICC’s contemporary music night, Glór Nua, to bring the distinctive sounds of Limerick City to London. The event aims to showcase a selection of indie artists from Ireland, providing a platform for their music in the UK.

The lineup for the evening includes:

His Father’s Voice: A Limerick-based band known for their purposeful sound, blending pop melodies with muscular rhythms and immersive guitars. Their performance will showcase tracks from their debut EP and upcoming album.

Laura Duff: A singer-songwriter from Limerick, Laura Duff will perform tracks from her forthcoming debut album, accompanied by her band. Duff’s music is known for its autobiographical depth and alt-pop style.

The Low Field: Formed in 2021, The Low Field includes members from notable Limerick bands and draws influences from a variety of genres. The band is currently working on their debut release, which has garnered attention for its lyrical and instrumental exploration.

The PVP: Influenced by a mix of genres including psychadelia and indie rock, The PVP is set to deliver a performance of their unique sound. The group is in the process of releasing their self-titled record.
