Punchestown - MK, Dom Dolla, Jazzy & Belters Only

Sunday, 2 June 2024, 4.30pm

Detroit house legend MK and Dublin electronic duo Belters Only are set to headline a two-day series in Punchestown Racecourse over the June bank holiday weekend, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2024.

Saturday 1st June will see MK joined by special guests Dom Dolla, whilst Sunday 2nd will have Belters Only alongside long-time collaborator Jazzy.

Boasting over six hundred million career streams, MK is one of the most idolised figures from the world of dance music. With over 30 years in the game, he is best known for his revered remixes of ‘Push The Feeling On’ by Nightcrawlers and ‘Look Right Through’ by Storm Queen, as well as his platinum-selling global hit ‘17’, which has sold more than one million copies in the UK alone. ‘17’ was preceded by ‘Piece of Me’ in 2016, another platinum-selling record to add to MK’s pile of growing accolades.

Having worked with and remixed, so many forward-thinking artists along the way, including Calvin Harris, Will Smith, Mark Ronson and Ed Sheeran to name a few, MK has managed what so many producers strive for a lifetime to achieve; to create a sound that is unique, yet accessible; varied yet recognisable.

Belters Only meanwhile, made up of longtime friends Bissett and Robbie G, began as a weekly residency in a Dublin city club. Whilst clubs were closed during the pandemic, they decided to work together to create new music and develop Belters Only as a staple of the Irish electronic scene.

After releasing a series of remixes and originals on SoundCloud, Belters Only released their debut single on Polydor, ‘Make Me Feel Good’, in collaboration with Jazzy, in November 2021. The track, three years in the making, went on to become an instant club smash, racking up over 86 million streams to date and reached the top 10 of the official UK Singles Chart.

Since then, the duo has gone from strength to strength, releasing a string of singles in 2022 including hits such as ‘I Will Survive’, ‘Don’t Stop Just Yet’ and ‘Call Me’. This year, they’ve collaborated with Dundee duo KIMMIC on ‘Never Miss A Beat (Belters Only Remix), and Australian-born producer Sonny Fodera and British singer Ella Henderson on a remix of their track ‘Like I Used To’. Belters Only also producer special guest Jazzy’s debut single ‘Giving Me’, which has gone on to top the Irish Singles Chart and reach unprecedented heights in the UK Singles Chart, earning the #3 position.

With an Ibiza residency, a headline London show for Ministry of Sound, a weekend-stealing headline set at Life Festival, and the sold-out launch of their Afters Only Presents series in The Academy, their touring schedule has never been busier, reaching new heights with last weekend’s 3Arena headliner.
