The Marie Mullen Bursary, offered by Druid Theatre, is an annual award specifically designed for women working in the theatre arts sectors of design, directing, and dramaturgy within the island of Ireland. This award seeks to support the professional progression of women in Irish theatre. Eligibility for this bursary extends to those demonstrating a firm commitment to Irish theatre while currently residing in Ireland.

Recipients of this bursary will benefit from a residency with Druid in a major 2024 production, a personal session with Marie Mullen, mentoring by theatre experts, contracts for directorial or dramaturgy roles in a Druid Debut, participation in Druid Ensemble, and access to FUEL and Druid Academy events. Additionally, a monetary award of €2,000 will be granted.
