The Irish Guitar Quartet (IGQ) is one of Ireland’s most exciting music ensembles, performing a wide range of music from Baroque to Contemporary fusion. Utilising the wonderful versatility of the instrument to create textures and ambience, the IGQ have left nation-wide audiences spellbound.
Join the IGQ in Carnegie Arts Centre, Kenmare on Saturday October 18th as they hunt for Opals in Australia, take shelter from a storm in a Cuban Landscape, and dance the Habanera in Spain - all conveyed through the magic of the guitar!
The Programme includes Opals by Phillip Houghton, Carmen Suite by Georges Bizet and Boccherini’s famous Fandango and a new addition to their repertoire, J.S Bach's Brandenburg Concerto Nr. 6.
