Since winning 2nd Prize at the 2006 Leeds Competition, Andrew Brownell has pursued an active and varied international performing career. For his long-awaited return to Conway Hall, he joins colleagues Sam Coles (principal flute, Philharmonia Orchestra) and cellist Tim Lowe in a varied programme of gems for flute, cello and piano.

Weber | Overture to Euryanthe arr. Hummel
Haydn | Trio in G Op.67/1
Hummel | Adagio, Variations and Rondo on a Russian Theme Op.78
Weber | Trio in G minor Op.63

“impresses as much with his mind as with his hands… the anti-Lang Lang.” Oregonian (on Andrew Brownell)

“… compelling in every respect: probing, virtuosic and yielding by turns – a true example of outstanding musicianship.” Musical Opinion (on Tim Lowe)
