Limerick City and County Council Culture Team are pleased to announce an open call for Limerick based creative practitioners, organisations and communities of place and interest* to submit applications for Made in Limerick Grants 2020. These grants are offered as part of Limerick Creative Ireland Programme to deliver activities taking place in 2020.

Creative Ireland Programme 2017-2022 is an all-of-Government five-year initiative, from 2017 to 2022, which places creativity at the centre of public policy. It is a culture-based programme designed to promote individual, community and national wellbeing, to enhance cross-sectoral collaboration and add value to work that is already being undertaken. The core proposition is that participation in a cultural activity drives personal and collective creativity, with significant implications for individual and societal wellbeing and achievement. The values that drive the Creative Ireland Programme should be at the core of the projects proposed for this open call.

They are:
– Collaboration
– Communication
– Community
– Participation
– Inclusivity
– Empowerment

*Community of place is a group of people that live in the same area, while a community of interest is a group of people brought together through a common interest, for example a heritage group, literary group, historical society, community drama group, artists collective, community choir.
