Sync Intern

Sync Intern

Thursday, 20 May 2021, 5.00pm

Warner Music Group is seeking a Sync Intern to join the team in London.

You will be working with the whole sync team; this role is a very administrative role, which involves organizing and underpinning much of what we do as a team. It is in some senses creative, for you will be the sole person working across creative assets that are sent out to clients on behalf of the team.

An internship in this department looks like:
The role is incredibly varied from one day to the next, as the department has many different moving parts. We listen to a lot of music to work out what might work well for an emotive scene in X Factor, or perhaps we need a cool new indie band for FIFA so there will be a lot of sorting of music, making playlists and liaising with different labels around the world to get this music. We need to market ourselves to our clients, to procure deals. Therefore some time will be spent helping with marketing materials, which means designing mailers on Photoshop or compiling reels of videos in Final Cut or Adobe Premiere and also looking after our social channels. Then there is a less creative side of the job, which is to support the team such as filing and the raising of POs, which are the codes we use to pay our suppliers, or booking travel. You will be responsible for gathering assets for new releases, understand the difference between WAVs, MP3s etc for our marketing assets. Furthermore, you will be in charge of our social media accounts which involves daily engagement and updates. You will also look after gig tickets, and handle other administrative tasks for the team. You will also assist the television manager across multiple productions. Perks include gigs, a very social environment, and have the opportunity to learn a lot about a growing area of the industry.
