Irish National Opera Studio Gala
The Irish National Opera (INO) is set to host a Gala Concert at Pavilion Theatre in Dún Laoghaire on Sunday, 18 June, at 4pm. The concert will showcase five members of the INO Opera Studio, which includes four singers and one conductor.
The lineup consists of Carlow soprano Kathleen Nic Dhiarmada, Dublin soprano Jade Phoenix, Iowa mezzo-soprano Madeline Judge, and Dublin/Kerry baritone Eoin Foran. They will be directed by Meath conductor Medb Brereton-Hurley, who will share the podium with INO artistic director, Fergus Sheil.
The concert’s programme will include an array of opera arias, ensembles, and orchestral excerpts from composers such as Mozart, Bellini, Massenet, Puccini, Verdi, Offenbach, Meyerbeer, Dvořák, Wagner, and Donizetti.
INO Opera Studio is known for their work with emerging talents in Ireland, and its alumni have seen successful professional careers. Alumni include soprano Amy Ni Fhearraigh, soprano Kelli Ann Masterson, Director Sarah Baxter, bass-baritone Rory Dunne, and the studio’s current composer member, Éna Brennan.
