The Emerging Artist Award 2024, established by Age & Opportunity, is designed to support individuals aged 50 and over who are at the early stages of their artistic career. Recognising the unique challenges and barriers that can delay the commencement of an artistic journey, this bursary aims to underscore the principle that it is never too late to start. This initiative highlights the importance of lifelong learning and the potential for growth and development at any age.

Age & Opportunity Arts seeks to acknowledge and encourage an emerging artist who demonstrates passion, dedication, and a commitment to advancing their practice as a professional artist. The award, valued at €1,000, is intended to assist with activities that further develop their artistic practice or contribute to the creation of new work.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, 22nd March 2024.
