Pitlochry Festival Theatre is currently looking for a Head of Marketing to join their team. The theatre, known as the artistic centre of Highland Perthshire, has been operating for more than 70 years. Established in 1951, it is now visited by over 100,000 individuals annually. The theatre is recognised for its large-scale plays and musicals, as well as its programme of festivals, workshops, and events catering to various age groups and interests.

The Head of Marketing will report to the Director of Finance & Operations, receiving a salary of £42,000 per annum. The position can be based in Pitlochry or arranged as a hybrid role, with a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in their working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends when necessary.

The primary objective of the Head of Marketing role is to increase the number of people and organisations engaging with Pitlochry Festival Theatre. This will be achieved through proactive marketing and sales campaigns, focusing on both the artistic programmes and the organisation as a whole. The role involves developing and delivering the Marketing and Sales strategic plans, contributing to the organisation's strategic plans, and supporting the delivery of colleagues' plans when appropriate.

The ideal candidate should hold a marketing or business-related degree or professional qualification. Experience in the arts and knowledge of booking systems, digital opportunities for arts organisations, and website and app functionality would be advantageous. The candidate should also demonstrate management experience, a data-led and relationships-led approach, and experience in using various marketing channels to maximise reach.

Additionally, the candidate should possess strong communication skills, a results-focused mindset, and a keen understanding of customer expectations and experiences.
