Limerick-based 3-piece Kingfishr have quickly established themselves as one of the rising prospects in Irish music. Emerging over the last 18 months as part of the newest generation of Irish contemporaries, the band’s grand, atmospheric tone married with their propensity for catchy melodies has resonated with a wide audience.

All six of their 2023 releases garnered significant Irish radio play as well as spots on New Music Friday UK; they rounded out the year as a part of the Spotify Fresh Finds UK & IE Class of 2023 and started 2024 as RADAR: First Listen Artists alongside the release of Leave. A debut sold out tour across Ireland & the UK as well as a host of supports with major artists, such as Dermot Kennedy and George Ezra, and notable festival performances including BST Hyde Park, Latitude, All Points East and Electric Picnic, have cemented the band’s reputation as one’s to watch for.

Kingfishr presented by Triskel Christchurch and Cork St Patrick’s Festival, supported by Cork City Council and Fáilte Ireland.

Cork City Council is part of the Failte Ireland St. Patrick’s Regional Festival Scheme, supporting 6 regional festivals to offer quality, high impact events for domestic and international audiences, while also supporting the local night-time economy.
