A Celebration of Seamus Heaney with Neil Martin and Eleanor Methven

Musician Neil Martin and actor Eleanor Metvenn respond to the poetry of Seamus Heaney. Clifden arts festival is delighted to host this celebration of the work of Seamus Heaney a long time friend of the Festival who gave his first reading in Clifden Community School Library in 1978 and his last in St Joseph’s Church in 2009

Neil Martin is a composer and musician with an international reputation who enjoys a most varied and rewarding career encompassing opera, dance, theatre, film, television, radio, symphonic concert hall and studio.

Originally from Magherafelt, South County Derry, Eleanor Methven is one of Ireland’s foremost actresses. She has worked with all the major Irish theatre companies, received an E.M.A. and three Irish Times Awards for her stage work, as well as The Irish Times Special Tribute Award. She is also a regular on Television and Film, most recently seen in Little Women BBC, Derry Girls Ch4, and Virgin TV’s The Deceived.
