BBC Content is expanding its team of Network Commissioners and is seeking an Assistant Commissioner for Radio 2, based in either London (W1A 1AA) or Salford (M50 2QH).

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

The chosen candidate will work closely with the Commissioning Executive and the broader R2 team, overseeing large-scale projects across the network. Responsibilities span project management, idea generation, and talent management. The Assistant Commissioner will ensure quality, diversity, and high standards in content while maintaining editorial compliance and upholding BBC’s values.

Ideal candidates will be digital-savvy, passionate about Radio 2 and BBC Sounds, have strong organizational skills, and display sound editorial judgment. A background in commissioning or producing impactful content for diverse audiences is essential.
