The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (BBC SSO), based in Glasgow, is offering an opportunity for the role of Head of Artistic Planning and Production (Senior Content Producer). This full-time, permanent position is based at the City Halls, Glasgow, with a Band D contract.

The role involves developing the BBC SSO’s artistic programme and ensuring high-quality broadcasts across BBC platforms. Key responsibilities include working with the orchestra’s Director, Chief Conductor, Senior Management Team, and artistic partners, managing productions for multi-platform broadcasting, and leading the orchestra’s approach to music learning.

Candidates should possess artistic knowledge to create engaging orchestral programmes, production skills for managing multi-platform productions, strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration, management experience, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and adeptness in planning and organisational skills.
