Described as having “Intricate detail and a near-orchestral palette of sound backed up by hall-filling power” by The Washington Post, the Dublin Guitar Quartet is the first classical guitar quartet entirely devoted to new music and they have been building on their catalogue of transcriptions and commissions since their formation at the Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama. The DGQ’s work has brought the attention of some of the world’s leading composers and recent activity includes a release on Philip Glass’s Orange Mountain Music label and a commissions by Nico Muhly and Marc Mellits. They are in demand internationally and have performed at leading venues in the US including The Philips Collection, Celebrity Series Boston, Symphony Space and the Lincoln Centre in New York.  Duration: 1hr 30mins (incl. interval)
