Weaving Trad
Weaving Trad - Connecting through Music
The students of Drumshanbo Traditional Irish Music Course are delighted to present their first online concert of traditional Irish music, song, poetry and dance.
The annual charity concert hosted by the Drumshanbo Trad students has always been a much anticipated event and one of the highlights of the Leitrim calendar. This year we’ve put our concert online to be enjoyed by a much wider audience.
With musical legacies from the likes of John McKenna, Josie McDermot, Packie Duignan, Séamus Horan, and the Lennon family, in addition to the Annual Joe Mooney Summer School and the 2-year Traditional Irish Music Course, Drumshanbo is at the heart of traditional Irish music and culture here in the North West of Ireland.
The necessity to go online offered an incredible and valuable learning experience for all involved, and the Drumshanbo Trad students have faced that challenge head on.
We sincerely hope you join us for what promises to be a most enjoyable concert, to be premiered on Youtube at 8pm (Irish time) on 23 March 2021.
