Cork County Council is offering the Artists’ Creative Bursary, aimed at supporting the creative development of new work by practicing artists residing in the Cork County administrative area. This scheme provides funding for artists to create specific works, conduct research for new projects, or a combination of both.

To guide interested artists, Cork County Council’s Arts Office is organising two information sessions. The first session, dedicated to the Bursary and Residency Schemes, is scheduled for Thursday, 30 November, followed by an Arts Grants Information session on Friday, 17 November. Artists wishing to learn more or register for these sessions can contact arts [at] corkcoco.ie.

In an initiative to make the scheme more accessible, Cork County Council is accepting video/audio applications through an online portal for the first time. The Arts Office is also available to provide extra accessibility support to applicants as needed.

Applications for the bursary are open from 10 November 2023 and will close on 9 January 2024. Submissions must be completed through the designated online portal.
