Cork County Council is currently seeking proposals for Irish language-based arts events, projects, or activities. This opportunity is open to individual artists, professional arts organisations, festivals, and voluntary arts groups. The primary objective of this funding strand is to facilitate the creation of new work or the promotion of an arts event, project, or activity that prominently features the Irish language.

To assist interested applicants, Cork County Council’s Arts Office will host two information sessions. The Bursary and Residency Scheme information session is planned for Thursday, 30 November, and an Arts Grants Information session will follow on Friday, 17 November. Those wishing to attend can register their interest by contacting arts [at] corkcoco.ie.

In an effort to broaden participation, Cork County Council is accepting video/audio applications through an online portal for the first time. The Arts Office is also prepared to offer additional support to applicants who require extra accessibility assistance.

The application period is open from 10 November 2023 and will conclude on 9 January 2024. Submissions must be made through the specified online portal.
