The Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival (CQAF) has announced its Visual Arts Bursary for 2024, aimed at supporting artists in the presentation of visual arts exhibitions or projects. This opportunity is part of the festival’s continued dedication to showcasing the best in local and international arts, supported by Perspective Economics and Arts & Business.

The bursary is open to both new and existing visual arts exhibitions or projects, with a focus on innovation and creativity. Successful applicants will have their work featured at the 24th Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival (2–12 May 2024) or the Out to Lunch event in January 2025.

Artists are invited to apply for a bursary of £2,000. Submissions should include a detailed synopsis (no more than 500 words) of the proposed exhibition or project, including the concept, ideal location, and an outline of how the funds will be used. A separate budget breakdown and short biographies of the creative team involved should also be provided.

Applications should be marked ‘Visual Arts Bursary’ and sent to info [at] cqaf.com, accompanied by a CV and samples of work. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 16th February 2024 at 5 pm.
