A stellar line-up of 24 musicians will come together on Saturday 8th June for a concert at UCC’s Aula Maxima in support of the National String Quartet Foundation, introduced by RTE Lyric FM’s Evelyn Grant

The renowned Banbha and Esposito Quartets will play favourites from the string quartet repertoire by Schubert, Brahms, Shostakovich and Rhiannon Giddens.

The extraordinary Yershovy sisters from Ukraine were a sensation at last year’s gala concert and they return with music by Vivaldi, Skoryk and more.

The second half of the concert presents three spectacular and unique collaborations in popular movements for string quintet, sextet and octet by Dvorak, Brahms and Mendelssohn.
