Sunday, 28 November 2021, 5.00pm

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is seeking a part-time, freelance Project Manager for its upcoming Archwilwyr Jazz Explorers programme.

Archwilwyr Jazz Explorers is an R&D project developed by Cymru Jazz Wales, a network of freelance jazz/creative musicians and partner organisations including Ty Cerdd, music services and venues, and funded by Arts Council of Wales’s Connect and Flourish programme.

The candidate will be a skilled and experienced arts project manager who will work with the network to deliver the project on a freelance basis from January to December 2022.

The project will research and test new models for collaborative working between freelance musicians and live music promotion, education and learning settings across Wales. This is planned to include the delivery of three pilot partnership projects in different parts of the country which will be used to inform strategies to inspire interest and engagement by audiences and young people and build sustainable careers for Welsh jazz and creative artists.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of the project’s three strands of activity:
1. Research
2. Development activity / pilot projects / reporting and evaluation
3. Network development

The fee assumes that the role is delivered on a part-time basis of approx. 50 days’ work. Flexibility will be needed in allocating this time appropriately to deliver the requirements of the project across the year.
