Leitrim County Council has announced an open position for a Creative Communities Engagement Officer to join its Culture and Creativity team. The officer will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of Leitrim’s Culture & Creativity Strategy by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate engagement with communities.

The Creative Ireland Programme, an all-of-government initiative, is dedicated to enriching access to, engagement with, and appreciation of Ireland’s culture and creativity. Creativity, within its broad spectrum, is perceived as a combination of inherent abilities and acquired skills, enabling individuals and organisations to surpass established ideas and norms. By drawing on imagination, they create novel concepts that bring added value to human activities.

In line with the Creative Ireland vision, Leitrim aims to contribute to the social, cultural, and economic advancement of the county and its creative sector.

The application deadline for the Creative Communities Engagement Officer position is set 4 pm on the 25th of May 2023.
