The Barbican are now seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to the newly created senior role of Director of Development. Reporting to our Managing Director, Sir Nicholas Kenyon, this position will lead the Barbican’s strategy to significantly enhance our philanthropic relationships with donors, corporate sponsors and other supporters, and contribute to the overall organisational leadership. This role is a member of the Centre’s Directorate team, and we will be looking for a candidate with the imagination and vision to contribute to the whole of the Centre’s strategy in the years ahead.

You will have proven experience of high-value relationship development and income generation, and the diplomatic skills to work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. The role of Director of Development is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, innovative and energetic fundraising leader who is passionate about the impact and enjoyment of all art forms and creative learning, and has a vision for communicating this passion to the widest possible audience.
