Féile John Dwyer returns to Waterford city again this September with an exciting programme of events including concerts, workshops, recitals and sessions.

Bookings for concerts and workshops can be made through Eventbrite (search for ‘Féile John Dwyer’).

Established in 2012, Féile John Dwyer celebrates the life of the great Cork musician who was a local hero and huge musical influence in the South East for much of his life. John passed away in August 2020, but up until that time, he was a central figure at the festival annually.

This year's concerts in St Patrick's Gateway Centre include The Friel Sisters, and Conor Arkins & Paul Clesham (Friday 29th) and The Bonny Men featuring Róisín Chambers (Saturday 30th). Instrument workshops take place on Saturday morning with some of Ireland's best traditional musicians and Diarmuid Ó Meachair will perform several compositions commissioned by Féile John Dwyer at a composition recital in Garter Lane on Saturday afternoon. And there's an exciting session trail around the city over the weekend.
