The Irish Museums Association (IMA) is looking to appoint a part-time Programme Manager for a 2-year fixed-term contract. This new role aims to support the efficient operation and delivery of IMA’s initiatives for its members and the broader museum sector.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for the daily management and execution of specified programmes and projects, while also assisting the Director in the ideation and development of new undertakings aligned with the Association’s objectives. Tasks encompass stakeholder collaboration, professional development facilitation, research into member needs, and content distribution through online channels. Additionally, evaluating programmes, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing volunteers fall within the purview. Applicants should possess a comprehensive grasp of contemporary challenges within the museum sectors of Ireland and Northern Ireland. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience is essential.

The position offers a salary of €36,000 pro-rata for 20 hours weekly, with hybrid work arrangements and a necessity for at least one day per fortnight on-site at the IMA office in Dublin 7. The application deadline is midnight on 03 September 2023.
