New Venues & Immersive Environments 2020

Friday, 31 January 2020, 5.00pm

Body & Soul is currently seeking submissions for a number of different areas of the festival from venue proposals, art installations, traders and volunteers.

New Venues & Immersive Environments 2020.

As part of the application process please read and agree to all of the information below.
While we promote full artistic expression without boundaries, a certain amount of realism and professionalism must be incorporated into proposals - which includes insuring the safety of all festival goers (you and the general public). Therefore, to be in a position to be able to accept your application we need you to consider the following terms and conditions

Taking Responsibility:
Your venue / Installation will be viewed by hundreds if not thousands of people. Please take careful consideration with each question when filling out the application. All aspects of your proposal will be taken into account. If there is anything that you are unsure about, please note in the application that this is something you wish to discuss further – we are only too happy to help.

Funding:
Each year the festival fully funds certain Creative Projects, be they Venues, Art Installations or Performances. Outside of these bursaries it is only in certain circumstances that we can cover more than materials and transportation expenses. Any funding you raise and contribute may also help realise your works full potential. Any agreed funds provided by Body & Soul must be invoiced post event and details of information required will be provided prior to this. Please also be aware that you will need to provide food for yourself and your crew on site as Body & Soul does not cover this.

Health and Safety:
Once a proposal is under consideration, we will send out a detailed health and safety document that must be fully completed by you and signed off on by our site manager in order for it to be accepted. Certain performances may require Public Liability Insurance. Documentation will need to be submitted on acceptance. Due to site vehicle movement restrictions on site, we will need to know exactly how you plan to deliver any materials along with the type of vehicle you intend to use to do this. Please note: we have very limited parking, storage and dressing space. Another factor to seriously consider is the weather. Any structure should be able to withstand what could be wet and windy conditions.

Contact:
If you have been successful you will be contacted within two to three weeks of applying. We will have contacted all successful candidates by January 31st 2020. We hope you understand our position on this.

De-rig and Clean Up:
We operate a leave-no-trace policy. We must return the festival site exactly how it was given to us. Therefore it is your full responsibility to give back any allocated space in the same condition you found it in. Everything must be removed, without exception! We will have a team on the ground who are dedicated to seeing that this is executed. Failure to comply with the above will result in your funding being withheld. Thank You!
