Age & Opportunity’s Bealtaine Festival, in collaboration with Nursing Homes Ireland, announces the National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award 2024. The award recognises three exceptional arts projects in care settings, focusing on facilitating residents’ artistic and creative expression.

Applications are invited from care settings interested in organising interactive arts workshops, sessions, and events, led by professional artists, to celebrate the artistic talents of their residents. The projects should culminate in a festival event, which could be online, blended, or in-person, and will feature as part of the National Arts in Nursing Homes Day on Friday 17 May during the Bealtaine Festival 2024. This initiative offers a unique opportunity to engage residents, families, care staff, and artists in promoting arts within the care setting.

The awards include one prize of €1,000 and two prizes of €500 for the three successful applicants. The deadline for applications is 5pm, 26 February 2024.
