Perform Europe
Creative Europe Desk Ireland is accepting applications for the funding opportunity ‘Perform Europe’, with a deadline set for 31st March 2024 at 22.59 Irish time (23.59 CEST). This initiative aims to fund performing arts collaborations and partnerships in Creative Europe countries, focusing on redefining cross-border touring to be fairer, greener, and more inclusive. Building on the success of the pilot project from 2020–2022, Perform Europe continues to encourage innovative and impactful ideas that promote change.
Eligible applicants include organisations and professionals in the performing arts sector, legally based in any Creative Europe country. Applications must be submitted by partnerships, consisting of at least three partners from three different Creative Europe countries. Each application should include at least one performing arts work (excluding live music) to be presented in a minimum of three different countries. The performing arts under this call include theatre, dance, performance, circus, outdoor arts, and puppetry.
Perform Europe will allocate €2.1 million across at least 35 partnerships, with grants categorised as small (€12,000), medium (€32,000), and large (€60,000) partnership projects. A maximum of €60,000 can be granted per project, with 5% of the total funding reserved for projects involving Ukrainian partners or supporting the Ukrainian performing arts sector. It’s important to note that production costs for new creations are not covered; proposals should include finished artistic works ready for presentation.
